Ricoh wins 2024 ENERGY STAR® Canada Manufacturer of the Year

MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 4, 2024Ricoh Canada Inc. today announced it has won the 2024 ENERGY STAR® award for Manufacturer of the Year – Electronics, presented by Natural Resources Canada. A four-time ENERGY STAR Canada award recipient since 2019, the achievement demonstrates Ricoh’s dedication to the sustainable manufacturing of energy-efficient products and echoes its commitment – made more than 45 years ago – to the preservation of the environment and the sustainability of the planet.

As a Manufacturer of the Year for Electronics, Ricoh was recognized for showing leadership and innovation in developing and marketing ENERGY STAR certified products and raising the profile of ENERGY STAR across Canada. Several accomplishments stood out in 2023 for Ricoh, including:

The launch of Ricoh’s latest IM C Series of digital multifunction printers of which obtained ENERGY STAR certification. The new Series’ product lifecycle, including raw material sourcing, transportation, maintenance, and recycling, has a smaller carbon footprint than its predecessor series.

Expanded its GreenLine Series of re-manufactured products, increasing the number of ENERGY STAR certified models in Ricoh’s product portfolio by 267% from 2022.

Welcomed 400 attendees at the Ricoh Partner Summit where ENERGY STAR was promoted in various ways, such as displaying the ENERGY STAR logo, highlighting sustainability, and showcasing Ricoh’s participation in the ENERGY STAR program. Ricoh created a “Green Office Checklist” referencing the ENERGY STAR program and certified products for Partners considering making eco-friendly changes in the workplace.

Amplified ENERGY STAR initiatives, including ENERGY STAR Day, and created various toolkits for Ricoh’s partners to highlight these initiatives and the ENERGY STAR program.
